This superhero has had his own tv series which ran for a strong four seasons, his own DC comic line and even a spot in the recent Young Justice reboot, so why not a spot on the NetherRealm Studios DC game Injustice: Gods Among Us?
Since 1993 the underrated Dakota superhero has been sending shockwaves throughout the fictional universe of DC in style and while some fans may not hold him in high regard, no one can't deny he is without a doubt one of the more powerful heroes in the DC universe that deserves a spot on the Injustice roster. And let's be real here, Static isn't only criminally underrated by fans but also DC itself as the hero hasn't had enough facetime unlike other superheroes.
Still not sold on the idea of DLC for Static? Then picture this.. just Imagine Static's gameplay in Injustice if implemented correctly, he would be a beast and have some really cool powers, remember he has electricity powers so imagine the amount of combos and raw carnage, think about the special..
In the unofficial poll results on event hubs for potential DLC characters, Static came up as the fifth most requested character beating Swamp thing and Zatanna by a landslide.
In conclusion there's no real reason why Static can't show up as DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us, he would make a great and unique addition to the roster and could even rake in a couple more sales, if given the chance. And it would be an injustice not to feature Dakota's own born and raised Virgil Hawkins.
