Soul Calibur 2 HD Online coming to PS3 and Xbox 360

Namco Bandai is going back in time and reviving one of it's previous installments of the Soulcalibur series for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners. The classic 2003 Soul Calibur 2 which made it's debut on PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo's Gamecube is getting ported over in dazzling high definition for current gen gamers.

The HD announcement was confirmed at San Diego Con today and will be faithful of it's older counterpart. All familiar game modes will be making a comeback including Arcade, VS Battle, Time Attack, Team battle, Survival and Weapon Master but it seems like the only guest character returning this time round is Tekken's Heihachi.

Soul Calibur 2 is coming to consoles this autumn.

  2. The only Soul Caliber i've played, ...and my favorite one! :D

I don't usually like fighting games but this one was quite appealing.

  4. Best version by far, before it got all bloated and less enjoyable

Soul Calibur 3 was by far the best game of this series after Soul Blade of course. So much to do in it. Complete the campaign with every character, then there was a sub campaign too. Then there was the Edge Master style mode in the game and also a strategy game that you used a self created character in.
It was just Soul Calibur II but with even more polished and richer content.

  6. I still play the Gamecube version on the Wii from time to time, it's easily the best fighter on the system. Great game but nothing can compare to the Dreamcast original!

  8. The first fighting game I ever loved and no Soul Calibur after it could compare. This is a super must buy.

Plus, I loved Heihachi even though everyone I know said he sucked.
