  1. Ni No Kuni is the first JRPG I've truly, truly enjoyed in years. So much character, a beautiful score, and, dear God, a world map.

  2. Ni No Kuni is seriously great. In terms of raw production values in the updated/retro RPG subgenre, it's instantly up there with the fantastic Dragon Quest VIII. I've laughed. I've choked up with sadness. I've been constantly visually delighted. And I'm only less than 8 hours into the thing. The character designs are brilliant, and the combat system, while appearing extremely simple and streamlined, is deceptively complex. I still haven't quite solidified my combat strategies, but the thing is, it's not a frustrating task. It's something you actually want to develop a deeper understanding of, and hone to perfection.

  8. Ugh, I'm kind of getting sick of FFXIII. I mean, I loved the first game but the second game's ending just pissed me the hell off, But I'll probably end up buying Lightning returns to know what happens to Light. Dammit.
